This reproduction of a mid-1800's Blackfeet dress was all hand-sewn from simulated brain tan deerskin. The red trade wool on the collar and the squares were symbolic of the period. All of the fringe was hand cut and gently wet twisted. Blue padre beads adorn the fringe and cowry shells line the upper front. A deer tail hangs from the neckline. This was a commissioned reproduction by a Blackfeet decendent. Other tribal reproductions are available upon request.
